Our main goal at organicseo.ie is for all our clients to consistently appear at the top of Page 1 in Google and other search engines.
The top five reasons why a website may not show up in Google Search Results are:
- The site is too new and Google and other search engines haven’t had the chance to crawl it yet
- The site content isn’t optimized for search engines
- The target keyword market is too competitive
- The site has “no index” tags.
- The site has been penalized by Google
1. Your site is too new to be in Google.
It can take Google anywhere from a few days to a few weeks or longer to display your site. When you run a search in Google, you’re not searching the whole internet, but rather searching Google’s index of the web.
The easiest way to tell if your site is already indexed by Google is to run a search using the “site:” operator, followed by your URL, like this:
site:website-url.com. (Make sure there are no spaces between the operator and the URL.)
The results will let you know what pages google know’s about your site. If it blank or not complete you can wait a few more days for your site to be indexed or you can take matters into your own hands.
How do I manually index my website in Google?
The first step to getting your site on Google is to be sure that Google can find it. The best way to do that is to submit a sitemap. A sitemap is a file on your site that tells search engines about new or changed pages on your site. Have a look at this google page to Learn more about how to build and submit a sitemap
